PSA - Af AM/Latin Male
I am a producer with Raw Cut Productions and we are casting for a PSA [Public Service Announcement] project that I am closely working on. I am sharing this information with you because we have a character that needs to be cast with an actor or someone with acting ability. The critieria is listed below but I'm looking for a brother to fit the part. If you believe you fit the critieria below then please show up for one of the two available casting dates. Theme: Health and Wellness Initiative Duration: 30 second to 120 second video/Internet PSA/commercial spot
Casting Call Address: 119 West 24th Street [between 6th & 7th Avenues]; 11th Floor [we are located in the back room on the side of the floor where the bathrooms and water foundation is located; look for Raw Cut Productions signs]
When: Wednesdays, January 4th and 11th, 2006 Time: 6:00PM [please be on time and expect to possibly be there until 9PM depending upon the number of casting prospects.
THIS PROJECT IS A PSA [PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT]
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS: The closet trains are the "F" train to 23rd Street or the #1 train to 23rd Street. You can also take the "C", "E", "R" or "W" trains to 23rd Street, too.
SYNOPSIS Setting: The character will be in the living room of his home, sitting on his sofa and watching tv while surfing the Internet with his laptop. He will be in a relaxed mood while wearing just boxers or boxer brief and a tank top. He will order take-out food and have it delivered to the house. After the food arrives he will discover that something is missing that is of paramount importance to his health.
CHARACTER PROFILE/BREAKDOWN Raw Cut Productions is looking for an actor or someone with acting ability who is:
1] Latin and/or Black only > they can be of mixed heritage from both ethnicities
2] Masculine/Feminine > this means someone who is non-descript, ambiguous and discreet in his mannerisms or appearance. They are not readily pegged as being either/or. Mannerisms are on neutral ground.
3] Height: 5'-11" to 6'-0" [this is flexible yet someone of average height is desired]
4] Waist: 34" [this is flexible but someone of average build is desired]
5] Age: someone is their late 20s or early to mid 30s; someone can be in their 40s but must look like they're in their early 30s.
6] Hair: a caesar haircut or someone with cornrows [braids okay, too]
7] Lips: Sexy lips
8] Appeal > this means someone who is [conveys] sexy, alluring, flirtatious, has charisma and sexy lips [a big plus!] in appearance
REQUIREMENTS The person chosen must present the qualities above, but some exceptions to certain details may be made on a case by case basis depending upon the individual and his acting ability and attributes. The Wednesdays casting process will require that each actor or persons with acting ability be able to show up and show the producers their body while in boxers or boxer briefs in a professional environment [to meet the criteria listed above] while reading for the part in a separate screening room. During yours screening process you will be asked a series of short questions for the producers to get a feel for your personality. The person chosen must wear boxers or boxer briefs during the actual shoot and be comfortable in front of the camera with the limited clothing on. Also the person must be comfortable in front of a small crew directing him in a real apartment setting. The shooting will typically be a 1-day shoot. This PSA will be broadcast in public venues and/or via the Internet. The chosen actor will be required to sign-off on a waiver for this project. Any additional questions you may have will be answered during the casting/screening process.
COMPENSATION Raw Cut Productions is a grassroots initiative, and as such, we have a limited budget. During the Wednesdays casting process we will provide food and beverage refreshments. The final person casted will not receive any monetary compensation, however, you will have the pleasure of being the star of this PSA and being noticed in public venues and/or the Internet; food and drinks will be provided for you during the shoot.
