A Fantastical Story
This short quirky comedy, shot on DV, will be directed by a last-yearstudent at the New York Film Academy. Upon completion in Jan. -- Feb. 2006, it willbe submitted to film festivals internationally.The film tells the story of the man who does the voice for movie trailers,and the lady who does the voice for phone voicemail services, and how they areboth mocked and ridiculed by society in their off-work hours because oftheir peculiar voices. Bob, or the Movie Trailer Voice Over Voice Guy, is one of the two romantic leads of the movie. His booming, epic voice over voice, the one he uses atwork, is also his natural voice -- hence all his lines are spoken in that voice.Single and lonely, mocked by his fellow human beings because of his speech impediment, Bob is looking for someone who can understand his troubles and love and care for him... (Male, 50’s, Caucasian)
Jessica, or the Phone Voicemail Service Voice Lady, is one of the two romantic leads of the movie. Her monotone, mechanically sympathetic voice, the one she uses at work, is also her natural voice -- hence all her lines are spoken in that voice. Single and lonely, mocked by her fellow human beings and unable to find a decent date because of her speech impediment, Jessica, like Bob,is looking for someone who can understand her troubles and love and takecare of her...(any age/race)
Charming and enthusiastic, Johnny is the guy who does the typical voice for Car Commercials. A few days after Bob and Jessica meet, he also drops into Jessica's life, and tries to seduce her, much to Bob's dismay and jealousy...(30’s)
