Cast consists of three children and four adults. The children should be young adults believable as children.
JERRY: Irish-American boy, ages 10-14. Also appears as the adult narrator.
TONY: Italian-American boy, ages 10-14. Energetic, loud, and fearless.
BERNADETTE: Irish-American girl, ages 10-14. Has to convey lost look seen in so many teenagers.
MOTHER: She is around 40, of Irish-American background.
FATHER: Also around 40, same Irish background.
FR. McMULLEN: Irish-American in his 50's, or older.
SISTER REGINA COELI: Ethnicity not important; nor is physical type.
