NYC: Musical - Females 25-50

Mostly Musical Productions is casting a reading of Diet Monologues: The
Musical by award-winning playwright Monica Bauer. Jerry James, dir.; Seth
Bisen-Hersh, music dir.

Female #1: reads at least 25, African-American, can do both Jamaican and
Evangelical preacher-rapper, plays Lulu and Rev. Delphina

Female #2: late 50s, alto belt, plays Estelle, who speaks with a NYC Jewish
accent, and Sister Rose, who swings between sweetness and drill sergeant (must
have the ability to do both)

Female #3: age reads at least 40, low alto/tenor, jazzy, plays Jackie, a
stand-up comic, busty Roseanne type, and Terry, a butch lesbian
Steve: 25+, male, big, tough, loveable John Goodman type, construction
worker with a working-class accent, bass-baritone

Female #4: 25+, legit soprano, plays Elizabeth, who sings the big ballad,
and Lisa, who has to project an Italian sensuality, they are the sweetest
characters in the show.
Note: Each actress will play two roles. Seeking plus-size singing actors
only.

Auditions will be held by appt. Jan. 6-7, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at Ripley-Grier
Studios, 520 Eighth Ave., 16th fl., NYC.
Bring 32 bars of a comedy song and a comic monologue.
