The next audition will be on Saturday March 25th. Shooting will take

on Staten Island between Wed. April 19th - Sun. April 23rd (not the

This is for the main character, Polly, in a rather surrealistic
adaptation
of the 'Reynardine' legend of UK ballad fame, about a young woman
who falls
under the spell of a mysterious and possibly supernatural lothario.
Polly is a
beautiful, rather naive young woman with low self-esteem and a very
romantic
outlook on life. The story is set in the mid-1800s, so we need
someone
preferably with long (non-highlighted) hair, natural-looking
eyebrows, no fake
nails, etc., who is willing to be dressed up 19th century style.
Because of the
available costuming, applicants would ideally be within the range of
sizes 4-8
and not over about 5'5' in height.
There is no pay, but food, a copy of the finished film, and

to run for the US Congress and follow in the footsteps of his father
(currently a member of Congress and about to step down into

KEN BAXTER 40's-50's Norman Anderson's partner in "Anderson Baxter

Associates", a highly successful international law firm. He is a
known womanizer
and has been seen meeting with Jerry Stein, a lawyer with a horrible
reputation.
There are rumors that Ken may be planning to leave the firm and if he
does
the effect would be devastating on Norman Anderson's run for
congress. We
discover that Ken has a young Mistress, Audrey Connolly. He believes
he is paying
her tuition for college and that she is pregnant with his child.
AUDREY CONNOLLY Mid 20's. Audrey is Ken Baxter's mistress. However,
she is a
scam artist. Working with her fiancé Michael Sherman she has so far
scammed
Ken out of $25,000.
MICHAEL SHERMAN Late 20's-Early 30's. Audrey Connolly's fiancé. He

record. He did time in New Mexico for mail fraud. He now works in
the Admissions
Department at Manhattan University. He and Audrey are scamming Ken
Baker.

Premise:
The year is 1957. Jailhouse Rock is opening in theaters across the
nation,
Sputnik II is carrying a dog through orbit around the earth, it is a
time of
great celestial activity, and even more importantly, the Sadie
Hawkins Day
Dance is right around the corner.
The film tells the tale of Billy Dever, an enthusiastic dreamer who
is
looking beyond his mundane high school existence to the wonders of
science and
life beyond our planet. Although he may be looking to the skies,
he'll have to
deal with local goon Brandon Bishop, captain of the boys basketball
team, and
red-scare obsessed Principle Spooky Thompson, here on earth. Luckily
he'll
have his buddies to help him, the skirt chasing Eddie Cassavette,
and the
quirky lovable Russian, Spuds.
As the days go on, Billy becomes more involved with his high-school
science
teacher, Professor Vadin who encourages Billy's love of science, and
leads
him closer to the truth behind the strange things occurring at
school.
About The Film:
Being produced as a musical allows 1957 to tap into the inspiring
music of
the era. From doo wop groups, to rockabilly, to crooning, and the
beginning
days of rock and roll, the film will take viewers on a musical
journey through
the adventure that takes place in Lehigh High School.
Breakdowns:
Spuds - Slightly on the geeky side, Spuds is one of Billy Devers
closest
friends, he was raised in America and is of Russian ancestory.
During the space
race, Spuds becomes obsessed with all things Soviet.
Principle "Spooky" Thompson - As principle of Lehigh High School,
Spooky has
developed a deep rooted fear of Communism which he has carried over
from the
red scare of the mid fifties. Paranoid of the impending fall of
capitalist
society, he is always alert and overly suspicious of his students.
Jaspers - The all knowing, wise, sooth-saying school janitor.
Cara-Ann - With a very wholesome image, Cara-Ann is the class
president, a
real "girl next door" type.
Tammy - The image obsessed, air-headed lead cheerleader, Tammy is
the most
popular girl at school.
Peggy Meyers - Peggy is a friend of both Tammy and Cara-Ann, and her
sensibilities lie somewhere between Tammy's image obsessed
popularity and Cara-Ann's
good natured wholesomeness.
Laney - Laney is Spuds girlfriend, and is slightly on the geeky side
just
like him.
Male Chorus Ensemble/ Featured Extra - We are also seeking various
males to
fill in the chorus/ensamble for the films many musical numbers, as

Looking for Polish Female Actors to play the roles of the Polish
Shakespeare

This is one short out of twenty of a feature film entitled 'Utopia
Twenty'
proposed for the Austrian Museum for Applied Arts and the Schindler
