Characters:
The following roles are available. All ethnicities are strongly encouraged
to audition.
Lloyd: Late 20s hulking man. The last gentleman boxer. He has good, boyish
looks that have not been ruined by his time in the ring. Lloyd has a simple,
vulnerable charisma and has created a number of superstitions by which he is
able to feel a greater mastery over his complicated and increasingly
dangerous life. Any ethnicity.
Renee: Beautiful young woman. 20s. Smart. Renee always knows what she wants
and has a performers streak to her personality. Having an uncanny comfort
with her body she always uses it to her advantage. She is elegant, but able to
play ball with the boys.
Val: Suave, dangerous and attractive crime boss in his 30’s. Val remains
happily detached in all but the most stressful situations. His style of dress is
immaculate and his manner dangerously refined. Any Ethnicity.
Slim: Intimidating man in his early 20s-30s. A scrapper with a malicious
wit. Slim wears a face of disinterest in the lives of others. Any Ethnicity.
Trainer 1: 50s-70s male. Boxing trainer/promoter turned gym owner. Goes
from jolly to deeply troubled.
Trainer 2: 40s-70s male. More idealistic than Trainer 1.
