Searching Beauty
A feature documentary by Director Alex Portugal.
Synopsis- Searching Beauty: From the ordinary woman to the most beautiful celebrity, from the hottest porn star, to the average teenager . . . what is beauty in the eye of the beholder, and what does it all mean?
This is a feature documentary of one filmmaker's search for a meaningful definition of beauty in our day and age. Alex Portugal- Director & Director of Photography will interview 1000 women on the topic of beauty for the big screen. What is it? How does it affect us? Are we brainwashed? Does it run our lives? Does it sell us or sell us out? Is it a positive understanding or a negative one, and WHO really cares?
Auditioning / Interviewing women ages 10 - 65+. Some roles are scripted. Currently accepting union and non-union actors' headshots & theatrical resumes. If you do not have a headshot, you may submit a snapshot or Polaroid of yourself, and a business resume.
