NYC: Short M/F

Accepting submissions for "Beautiful Jones", a short/trailer TO BE
developed into a feature. Actors cast will be considered for the feature-length
production.
Auditions will be held by appointment on January 21 and 22 in NYC. Shooting
in May 2006.

An elaborate tale of angst, tragedy, and love, Beautiful Jones is the story
of an assassin (BEAUTIFUL JONES) whose compulsive-gambling father (CHESTER
JONES) abandons her as a child to a criminally gifted bookie (MS. VY) in lieu
of money he owes. When the father reappears on her doorstep 22 years later,
she embarks on a remarkable and ultimately tragic journey of self-discovery.
Ms. Vy: (38-48) Machiavellian street-hustler; bookie; intense; territorial.
Medium build, some athletic ability.
Punky: (25-32) Attractive young assassin; dark-skinned complexion; funky;
intense; sullen and spiteful; wild-haired (natural hair preferred), athletic.
Must be willing to train in martial arts (training will be provided) and
travel to training. Previous martial arts experience a plus (please note if you
have experience) but not necessary.
Young Beautiful Jones (18-21): African-American Medium skin-toned to play
younger version of the title character. Thin, wiry build; athletic. Must be
willing to train in martial arts (training will be provided) and travel to
training. Previous martial arts experience a plus (please note if you have
experience) but not necessary.
Angel: (23-30) Ghost of dead mother/imaginary friend; Attractive, girlish,
free and whimsical; Thin-to-medium build; Spanish accent.
Man: (25-35) Stock-broker type; cocky; arrogant.
